In 1950 starts the production of aluminium ladders, totally hand manufactured. The necessity to automate this production soon becomes an evidence to Léon Gubri who works on a project of mechanised assembly process.
1962-1970: success and reorganisation
1962-1970: success and reorganisation
Success has shown up and soon the factories cannot face this growing demand. In the early 60’, Léon Gubri decides to reorganise his company. He divides it into 3 entities and moves all his workshops to Romilly-sur-Andelle.
1980-1990 the decade of change and opening
1980-1990 the decade of change and opening
1984 is marked by a great change in Centaure’ s history: Léon Gubri passes on the lead to his son, Michel, who will manage the company for 5 years. This is a period of full growth due to a promising market.
2000 the development of new strategies
2000 the development of new strategies
In 2000 Christophe Vinsonneau and Patrick Wuillai acquire the company and start building new development strategies focused on quality, innovation and international expansion.
2011 birth of a group
2011 birth of a group
The collaboration between the brands Centaure, Duarib and Haemmerlin takes a new dimension when they merge in 2011 into a group. The three French manufacturers put their significant industrial heritage and their strong values together to rally all under the same banner, CDH Group.

In March 2016, CDH Group decides to lean on WernerCo, the world leader of height access and construction materials, and becomes consequently the base of the Group in Continental Europe, while conserving its DNA: its History, its Brands, its Values, its Men and Women its know-how and specificities which have contributed to its success.
